'The Sorcerer's Apprentice' Returns to Playhouse

Just for kids, this June Chandler Fairy Tale Theatre production will open once again at the Sierra Madre Playhouse this weekend.

Fresh on the heels of "," playwright/director June Chandler's popular interactive magic theater show "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" returns to the this Saturday.

The kid-centric show features Merlin the Magician, who you can see in action above. Kids in the audience will serve as Merlin's assistants, helping him perform magic tricks and outsmart the bad guys to rescue a damsel in distress.

Chandler's show also features a talking rabbit, twin witches, giant eagles and of course, a dragon.

Shows are every Saturday at 11 a.m. until May 12.

The show premiered last August and is back because of its success during the first run.

Cast members include Derek Coleman, Michael Evans, Helen Frederick, Dawn Hunnicutt, Ron Johnston, Jill Maglione, Lynda Rohrbacher and Joyce Sindel .

Admission is $18 for adults, $12 for children 12 and under.
