"The Way We Were: A Historic Adventure with Costumes."

The Sierra Madre Historical Preservation Society invites you to attend "The Way We Were: A Historic Adventure with Costumes."

Get gussied up and come to the Fabulous Fall Fashion Show! On October 15, 2011 costume designer Sean Le Blanc of Valentino's Costumes will reveal textiles, clothing, and accessories Sierra Madre style.

Based on photographs from our award-winning book,Southern California: Seeking the Better Life in Sierra Madre, written by Altadean Michele Zack. This historical fashion show will reveal how Sierra Madreans dressed through the ages. Having furnished costumes for many plays, movies and television shows, Mr. Le Blanc will narrate the shows different eras describing costume details. Tea and desserts will be served.

The program will be held at Hartzell Hall located at 695 W. Sierra Madre Blvd. at 2:00 p.m.The parking entrance is located off N. Michillinda Avenue.Tickets are $40 and proceeds support SMHPS community activities and historic archives.
