Weekend Planner: Acting Workshop at the Playhouse

When: 9/24, 7 a.m.

Where: (222 W. Sierra Madre Blvd, Sierra Madre)

$5 buys you the pancake breakfast hosted by the Kiwanis Club, which will be served from 7-11 a.m. From 9 a.m.-noon, free health screenings will also be available for seniors!

2.

When: 9/24, 11 a.m.

Where: (1115 El Centro St., South Pasadena)

Join the library for a Moon Festival with food, games, arts, crafts, performances, Chinese Lion dancing, Chinese acrobats and a fear factor contest. Admission is free and all are welcome.

When: 9/24, 2 p.m.

Where: Sierra Madre Playhouse (87 W. Sierra Madre Blvd., Sierra Madre)

This ongoing course at the Sierra Madre Playhouse "is for those who want to balance their lives by developing the artist within them" and focuses on the basics of theater acting.

4.

When: 9/24, 5 p.m.

Where: (742 E Lemon Ave., Monrovia)

Part talent competition, part Texas BBQ, this event is sure to be fun for the whole family. Tickets are $35.

5.

When: 9/24, 5:30 p.m.

Where: Pasadena City Hall (100 N. Garfield Ave., Pasadena)

Join the Pasadena Symphony for a free concert at the newly-renovated City Hall Centennial Square. The concert, featuring award-winning artists, begins at 7:30 p.m. with pre-concert activities and dining beginning at 5:30 p.m.

What are these "organizations that can assist educators in providing an additional incomeRead More source for school supplies?" What are the other "big retailers" besides Staples that are helping teachers with rewards programs? This is a great subject but there is little detail here beyond a link to the Staples program. Would love to read a follow up piece with more useful information.
