Top 5 Sierra Madre Stories: Mountain Lion Sightings, Felon Arrested, Race Sells Out

It was a busy news week, here's a recap of other Patch stories you may have missed.

There were many important stories local to the San Marino area this week. But just in case you missed them, here are our Top Five stories.

1. Several mountain lion sightings have been recently reported, including an incident that involved the death of a small dog in the backyard of a Sierra Madre home. 

2. The popular Mount Wilson Race sold out in 2.5 hours. Were you one of the lucky ones who who grabbed a ticket for the May 25 race?

3. A convicted felon was recently arrested in Sierra Madre after allegedly being caught with ammunition in his vehicle.

4. Congratulations to the talented children who won the 'I Love My Library' contest. Here's a list of the winners. 

5. Results are in for the Pasadena Unified School Board elections that took place Tuesday. Here's a recap of the results.

What are these "organizations that can assist educators in providing an additional incomeRead More source for school supplies?" What are the other "big retailers" besides Staples that are helping teachers with rewards programs? This is a great subject but there is little detail here beyond a link to the Staples program. Would love to read a follow up piece with more useful information.
