Sunshine Expected for Wistaria Festival

The festival takes place Sunday, when temperatures will be in the low 70s, according to the National Weather Service.

Unlike in recent years, Mother Nature is cooperating with Wistaria Festival planners and there will be sun the day of the event, if the National Weather Service is correct.

This year the festival takes place on St. Patrick's Day, Sunday, when the Weather Service is predicting a high of 71 degrees, dropping to an overnight low of 51 degrees with some patchy fog and followed by more fog on Monday, when forecasters say the high will be 72 degrees.

Expect a sunny Saturday as well, with a high of 76 degrees, according to the NWS.

The festival, which annually pays hommage to the world's largest blossoming plant, is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The free festival takes place downtown and the vine viewing is a shuttle ride away. While viewing the vine is free, the shuttle ride is $12 when purchased in advance, and $15 the day of the event. Or $7 for seniors 62 and up, or kids 6-16 years of age. Kids under six ride free.

What are these "organizations that can assist educators in providing an additional incomeRead More source for school supplies?" What are the other "big retailers" besides Staples that are helping teachers with rewards programs? This is a great subject but there is little detail here beyond a link to the Staples program. Would love to read a follow up piece with more useful information.
