Rain, Winds Could Continue Through Tuesday

Thunderstorms could also be in store late Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

After a week that ended in a small heat wave, the weather cooled down significantly Sunday and brought rain for Monday and possibly Tuesday.

“Showers and winds should taper off on Tuesday...but could
linger in the mountains,” the National Weather Service noted.

The seven-day Sierra Madre forecast, according to the National Weather Service:

  • Today - Showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 11am. High near 62. South wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.
  • Tonight - Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 55. South wind 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
  • Tuesday - A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 64. East southeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming south in the afternoon.
  • Tuesday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 53. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light west in the evening.
  • Wednesday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 68. Light and variable wind becoming southwest 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.
  • Wednesday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 56.
  • Thursday - Patchy fog before 11am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 74.
  • Thursday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 60.
  • Friday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 79.
  • Friday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 63.
  • Saturday - Sunny, with a high near 81.
  • Saturday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 64.
