Plan to Turn Single Family Home into Multi-Family Units Goes to Planning Commission

A plan to build two 900-square feet multi-family housing units on a lot where a single-family home currently stands will be heard by the Sierra Madre Planning Commission at its meeting on Thursday.

The property, located in the 200 block of N. Baldwin Avenue currently is zoned as Residential Medium Density - to build the units would require the city to change the zoning to Residential High Density, according to the commission agenda.

The home on the property is 3-bedrooms, 2,145 square feet and was built in 1947, according to the County Assessor Office website.

The hearing will be in the City Council chambers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday during the Planning Commission's regular meeting.
