The hosted its first "Boot Skootin' Chili Cookoff" fundraising event this past Saturday. The competition between locals and local eateries was hot with about a dozen different chilis to taste.

Peter Dills was the celebrity judge of this year's western-themed event. Guests also had chances to cast their votes. Proceeeds raised during the event will go to the Kiwanis Club Paul Magaris Mini Grant Program, which is given to schools, children or individuals who apply and qualify.
