Parents Invited to Apps for Toddlers Workshop

The workshop at the Sierra Madre Library will show parents how to use iPad apps to help their young children.

How does a good parent determine the good and the bad, and the useful and harmful for their children when it comes to today’s electronic world?

The Sierra Madre Public Library has an app for that! Several, actually.

Parents of young children are invited to Apps for Toddlers on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013 at 10 a.m. This workshop will cover:

  • how to get children’s apps on iPads
  • a look at different picture book iPad apps
  • a review of sites that review apps
  • a look at how iPads support early literacy

Children are welcome to accompany their parents and play in the Children’s Room but the workshop itself is designed for adults.

For more information, contact the Sierra Madre Public Library, 440 W. Sierra Madre Blvd. in Sierra Madre, (626)355-7186.

What are these "organizations that can assist educators in providing an additional incomeRead More source for school supplies?" What are the other "big retailers" besides Staples that are helping teachers with rewards programs? This is a great subject but there is little detail here beyond a link to the Staples program. Would love to read a follow up piece with more useful information.
