The brief earthquake that occurred around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday was centered near Yorba Linda, according to the U.S. Geological Survey, but the 4.4 magnitude jolt could still be felt in Sierra Madre and surrounding cities. A 2.7 magnitude aftershock also occurred.
