6 Valentine’s Day Date Ideas in Sierra Madre

It’s true that you don’t need to wait until February 14 to celebrate your love, but Valentine’s Day is a nice excuse to go on a fun date. With these ideas, you won’t even have to leave town!

Sierra Madre’s best spot in town for live music is throwing a veritable Valentine’s Day Ball on with the help of blues players Rob Rio & The Revolvers. From 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on February 14 expect lively boogie-woogie and jump blues tunes, dancing and a full bar and dinner menu. 

Window Shopping and Peppermint Ice Cream

Invite your significant for a stroll through Kersting Court and stop to admire all of the Valentine’s Day window dressings. Take in the fresh air, then pop in Mother Moo Creamery for some candy and a scoop of peppermint ice cream with two spoons.

Present your other half with a bouquet and a pair of tickets to the Sierra Madre Playhouse’s performance of Twentieth Century for lots of laughs and a great date night out. Adult and senior tickets are $22-$25 each. The show goes up Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so you can extend your Valentine’s celebrations through the weekend.

Sip wines from the finest California vintners while taking a hand-in-hand stroll through the Alverno Villa gardens this Sunday February 12. It’s romantic, relaxing, and you’ll seem oh-so-prepared by celebrating Valentine’s Day two days early. There will also be a silent auction and a raffle, so you might even be able to snag a gift for your sweet. Tickets are $60 each.

Picnic and a Hike

Do you know what your lover’s favorite foods are? Pack them up in basket with a comfy blanket, then head on up to . Bring your mp3 player and portable speakers to set the mood with your favorite. After you’re done eating, stash your picnic stuff in the car and go for a hike.

Recreate Your First Date
