Thank you Rotary Club of Sierra Madre!

The beautiful holiday decorations came down from the light posts Saturday morning as members from the Sierra Madre Rotary Club including Kris Poulsen, Dan Alle, Rob Stockly, Jeff Porter, Walt and Nancy Poser, SMPD Chief Marilyn Diaz, and family members helped with the clean up work along Baldwin Ave and Sierra Madre Blvd.

All the garlands and red bows would be saved for another year. Chris Alle was determined to earn some community service hours which are required by St. Francis High School so he held the ladders and hauled the boxes up the street during the early morning hours.

For a community of 10,000 residents, Kersting Court put on a traditional creche scene and displayed Christmas trees for the past month. Most of the residents were able to enjoy the festivities and shop among the local merchants who call Sierra Madre home. As visitors and residents will attest, this small town  is very reminiscent of a "Bedford Falls" community where neighbors see each other regularly and the shopkeepers know you by name.

What are these "organizations that can assist educators in providing an additional incomeRead More source for school supplies?" What are the other "big retailers" besides Staples that are helping teachers with rewards programs? This is a great subject but there is little detail here beyond a link to the Staples program. Would love to read a follow up piece with more useful information.
