Village Realty Celebrates 25 Years in Sierra Madre

Local Century 21 real estate office cuts the ribbon on another 25 years with the help of Café 322 and the Chamber of Commerce.

The Sierra Madre Chamber of Commerce held a special celebration last week for Century 21 Village realty, a local real estate office that has now been serving the community for 25 years.

The anniversary was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Mayor Pro Tem Josh Moran, Managing Broker Andy Bencosme and agency owner Michael Ludecke. Sierra Madre’s Café 322 was on hand to provide food for attendees and the office itself provided the evening’s beverages.

In a statement, Bencosme said that he was particularly pleased with the office’s performance over the years and the recognition they had received for their work, including having “been voted “Best of the Best” real estate office several years by readers of the local newspaper.”

Over the years, the company has grown from six real estate agents working in a 750 square foot office to more than 30 agents occupying an office space that has expanded to more than 2,500 square feet in Sierra Madre’s Renaissance Plaza on the south side of Sierra Madre Boulevard near Kersting Court.

Owned for its first six years by a different Century 21 affiliate, Michael and Marge Ludecke bought the business in 1986, changed the name to its current title, and have owned the agency since then. The couple later opened another office, .

The event served a dual purpose of both honoring Village Realty’s achievement and acting as the ’s monthly mixer where Sierra Madre businesspeople and community members can meet and network with other chamber members and local business owners.
