VIDEO: Bieber Fever Hits Westfield Santa Anita Mall

A special screening of Justin Bieber's new film leads to a mini-stampede at Westfield Santa Anita Mall.

More than a hundred area residents turned out to Wednesday night for a special screening of teenage pop star Justin Bieber's first film, Justin Bieber: Never Say Never.

Many in the crowd, wanting to get top shot at landing the most choice seats to see the beauty of the Biebs in glorious 3-D, lined up hours before the film's 6 p.m. start time.

Altadena resident Leon Campbell, accompanied by his daughter, was one of few adults there to see the film. This kind of thing was becoming old hat for Campbell, who along with his daughter had attended the star-studded premiere of Bieber's biopic at L.A. Live on Tuesday night.

At the L.A. Live premiere, Bieber walked the red carpet joined by a chorus of other celebrities including Usher, Miley Cyrus, P. Diddy, Jane Lynch and Selena Gomez. Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett-Smith were also there, bringing along their superstar children Willow and Jaden Smith.

The Arcadia premiere may not have sported the same star wattage as Tuesday's shindig but the crowd, made up mainly of 'tween and teens, didn't seem to mind. Many though held out hope that their favorite entertainer would make a surprise appearance. He didn't.

Karen Lynch of Monrovia brought her two daughters, Chandler and Knoah, to the screening. Lynch said she had purchased the tickets from Bieber's personal website. Tickets didn't come cheap as Lynch and other buyers shelled out $30 a pop.  AMC officials confirmed that Wednesday's screening was a sell-out. Justin Bieber: Never Say Never officially opens at midnight Friday morning.

A mini-stampede occurred when AMC officials opened the theater around 5:30 p.m. for the showing. As the tweens stormed towards the theater, it was clear they were fully plagued with Bieber fever.
