Tonight: PUSD Districting Task Force in Sierra Madre

The Pasadena Unified School District's Districting Task Force will present draft maps and answer questions Monday at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall.

The Pasadena Unified School District Districting Task Force has been making the rounds to all the communities within the PUSD, and on Monday they will make their presentation at City Hall in Sierra Madre.

The task force has been working for just over a year to divide PUSD into seven sub-regional districts that would each have its own representative on the Board of Education. That way, voters would vote for one board member to represent their district, instead of voting for all seven board members (as they currently do).

According to the four draft maps, which can be seen on the right, all of Sierra Madre will either be in a Southeastern district with parts of Pasadena, or a district that stretches slightly west toward Altadena.
