A massive tree fell across Foothill Boulevard near Baldwin, completely blocking the roadway.

Sierra Madre sustained an extreme wind storm last night, and the city has declared a local emergency. Many trees are uprooted, debris litters the streets, and numerous power lines are down.

"Prepare for a long, cold night ahead," said Mayor John Buchanan. Power is expected to be out for the next couple days.
