The Alverno girls soccer team shut out Ontario Christian 4-0 on Wednesday afternoon in a game that was postponed in December. The win gave the Jaguars a third place finish in the Ontario Christian Christmas Classic.
Alverno took a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute when Celina Minissian scored off a pass from Kelly Youseff. Minissian scored all four goals for the Jaguars, who improved to 13-3-2 on the season.
The Jaguars, currently ranked No. 4 in the CIF-Southern Section Division VI coaches' poll, begin postseason play next week.
