80s Bassist Turns Realtor at Village Realty

You probably never knew that you wanted a member of the funky 1980s band Midnight Star to close the deal on your new home. But now that we've mentioned it, wouldn't it be kind of cool?

Kenneth Gant is the newest real estate agent to join the team at Sierra Madre's Century 21 . Though he says he's always had an interest in real estate, he wasn't always a realtor.

Gant is also a professional musician and spent well over three decades as a bassist in Midnight Star, the R&B and electro-funk band known for the chart-topping 1980s hits "No Parking on the Dance Floor," "Freak-A-Zoid," "Operator," and "Play Another Slow Jam."

"Just like music, I have always had an interest in Real Estate, and studied the housing market years before becoming an agent," Gant said.

Gant has toured internationally, played scores of shows and has starred in tons of music videos. Now, it seems Gant is ready to start a new career right here in Sierra Madre. "It feels great to be a new agent," he said, adding that he feels at home at Village Realty.
